Watering your Vegetable Garden
Last Updated 4 years ago

The rule of thumb is that your garden needs about 1 inch of water per week during the growing season. If it hasn't rained in over a week, it might be time to water. A pretty good way to determine soil moisture level is to stick your finger down into the soil in the area of the root zone. You can gauge the moisture level by the feel on your finger.
